PASION POR EL FUTBOL
El fútbol atrapa. Además va más allá de ser un deporte. Eso mismo debe mirarse como un fenómeno que guarda relación con todos los estamentos que existen en una sociedad, entre ellas, la familia, la escuela, la Iglesia, y con sus características propias: la cultura, la historia, la economía, la política y la organización social.
El fútbol existe porque hubo unas condiciones objetivas que hizo posible su nacimiento, el balompié tiene una historia propia. Este deporte tiene vigencia porque se dan las condiciones necesarias para su existencia. Un estadio, unos jugadores, directivos, un público, una infraestructura que se mantiene viva.
Pero ¿Por qué existen las hinchadas?; ¿Qué papel cumplen en el desempeño fútbol y la sociedad?; ¿Cómo funcionan?; ¿Quiénes las componen?; ¿Qué acción tienen las hinchadas con la situación actual local y global?.
Desde 1996 aparecieron en el estadio Nemesio Camacho "El Campín", dos nuevos grupos de hinchadas de Millonarios y Santa Fe, que se ubicaron en las tribunas laterales. En este lapso de tiempo estos grupos tuvieron un crecimiento acelerado y con ellos aumentó el índice de violencia en el estadio y sus alrededores, generando una polémica pocas veces vista en Bogotá.
Los conflictos generados a través de éstas barras han trascendido las barreras del estadio y del deporte, hacia las calles de la ciudad, hacia la Policía Metropolitana y la población ciudadana en general. También se ha acrecentado el sentimiento regionalista que se traduce en violencia contra los habitantes de otras regiones del país.
La mayoría de los integrantes de las barras -Comandos Azules y Guardia Albiroja Sur- son población juvenil de todas las clases sociales. El surgimiento de nuevas barras de otras regiones del país, como Disturbio Rojo del América, Los del Sur de Nacional, han colocado la capital del país un centro de disputas que se va extendiendo a los barrios, como sucede en Argentina. La mayoría de sus integrantes son menores de edad que generalmente son los iniciadores de los problemas, escudándose en su edad para no tener problemas judiciales, un punto que esta en estudio, la judicialización para menores.
